What is walk-and-talk therapy?

It is exactly what it sounds like. We leave the traditional therapy setting behind and conduct our session outside while walking on the beach. You receive the benefits of therapy while integrating a more mindful, body oriented approach. 

Why combine walking and therapy?

Integrating movement with therapy will activate different areas of your brain and strengthen your mind-body connection.

 The client is grounded to nature, the rhythm of their breath, and all while soothing their nervous system.

This gives you the opportunity to release physical tension, increase creativity and access different parts of your brain. 

It provides endorphins, dopamine and serotonin during to help improve symptoms of anxiety and depression.


What happens in a session?

We meet at a designated spot at Sunset Beach. The first 40 minutes are spent walking and talking and the last 10 minutes are focused on visualization and grounding.

How do I know which type of session to choose?

You don't have to pick just one! Once you are established, we will discuss the type of session you prefer. Some clients do a combination of in-person, tele-health and walk-and-talk.
